About us
As a service provider in the media industry for over 40 years, EUROTAPE has been part of the Nordkurier Media Group since September 2017 and now officially operates under the name “Nordkurier TV und Studio GmbH & Co. KG”. Whether as a company or as a brand: over the years, Eurotape has established itself as a reliable partner for the film industry, archives, the home entertainment market, and television.
We are probably the only provider on the market that offers the complete workflow of a digital restoration, including 6K wetgate scan, 4K DCI color grading, retouching, restoration, and complete sound editing, the creation of barrier-free versions and inter- and intralingual subtitles, DCP creation, as well as the creation and testing of broadcast material for TV and HE, as well as physical media (DVD, Blu-ray Disc).
The processing is carried out in accordance with the guidelines for the German government’s digitization offensive (Din Spec 15587). Thanks to our many years of existence and our good connections with the key players in the entertainment market and archives, we have been involved in the transfer of analog film materials for many years, but we also always have a keen sense of the technical trends and developments in the industry.
In addition to the above services, one of the company’s core services is the creation of accessible film versions. Subtitles for the hard of hearing and audio descriptions are created in cooperation with those affected and take into account all the requirements that have been in force since January 1, 2013.
Furthermore, we manufacture more than 20 million DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, SACDs, CDs and 4K / UHD Blu-rays in our pressing plant every year and deliver them to our customers. Of course, we also leverage our many years of experience to provide you with expert and uncomplicated support in matters relating to master and print data handling.
In addition, we are constantly expanding our portfolio and developing our technical capabilities. Our studio, which was completely rebuilt in 2019/20, is equipped with the latest technology for digital post-production and was planned and built with high standards for the quality of our products in mind.
